Pauline (Ridgeway) Cherry, 85, of Troy died Sept. 10, 2010, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin.
Services were set for 10 a.m. today at White & Mahon Funeral Home in Troy, with Bobby Stewart officiating. Burial was to follow in Yorkville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were to be Norman Chandler, Bryan Chandler, Glenn Mayse, Horace Mathis, David Powell and Roy Albright.
The family requests that memorials be made to Main Street Church of Christ in Troy.
She was born Oct. 22, 1924, in Colfax, Calif., daughter of the late John H. and Willie May (McManis) Ridgeway. She married Finis Wayne Cherry July 24, 1940. He died Aug. 29, 1982. She was a retired employee of the former Troy Manufacturing Co., where she worked for 18 years, and was a member of Troy’s Main Street Church of Christ.
She is survived by her daughter, Janie Dowland of Union City; her son and daughter-in-law, John and Norma Cherry of Millington; two grandchildren, Angie Chandler of Union City and Lori Lovell of Millington; three great-grandchildren, Brooke Crider and Tyler Lovell, both of Millington, and Bryan Chandler of Union City; two great-great-grandchildren, Cassie Crider and Holley Crider, both of Memphis; two sisters, Edna Condo of Decatur, Ala., and Suzie Albright of Obion; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Danny Dowland; two brothers, William “Sonny” Ridgeway and Charles Ridgeway; and three sisters, Delores Powell, Mary Ann Carter and Linda Lou Ridgeway.
