State Representative Mark Maddox (D-Dresden) announced today that he will begin his 2010 re-election campaign on Monday, Sept. 13 with stops in 21 communities across Weakley and Carroll Counties. The Kick-Off Tour will end at 6:30 p.m. in Dresden with the Grand Opening of his campaign headquarters on the court square.
Throughout the day, Representative Maddox and his wife will visit with businesses, local leaders and citizens of the 21 communities across the district. At 6:30 p.m., he will join his supporters for a rally and Grand Opening Celebration at his headquarters, 113 West Main St. on the court square in Dresden. The public is invited to attend.
“This is my home,” said Maddox. “I grew up here, went to school here and moved my wife back here after college. We chose this place to raise our family because of the good people and common values we all share. I’ve been proud to represent the very people who helped raise me. As I go out on the 13th, I know I’ll see many familiar faces and I hope you’ll come up and say hello. I also hope you’ll come join us as we start this campaign in Dresden at 6:30 that night. I’ve never forgotten who sent me to Nashville and I hope this tour will help keep me updated on the needs of every community. I look forward to seeing many old friends and meeting new ones as I go around on the 13th!”
Mark Maddox is running for re-election as State Representative for district 76, which encompasses all of Weakley and part of Carroll County. He is a life-long resident of Dresden, where he lives with his wife, Kerri, and their three children Meyer Blaine, Molly Shannon and Mark Lee. Together, they attend the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where Rep. Maddox is an Elder. He can be found on the web at htpp://www.repmarkmaddox.com.
