Counterfeit bill found

The Messenger, September 10, 2010 Not even the City of Union City is exempt from problems with counterfeit bills. Union City police were summoned Thursday to Commercial Bank, where an employee said she had received a counterfeit $20 bill in a deposit belonging to the City of Union City in the morning’s deposit, according to a Union City Police Department report. The bill was recovered by police as evidence. Several instances of counterfeit bills have been reported at local businesses in the past few months.
