KINGSPORT (AP) — Authorities say a licensed practical nurse has been indicted following an investigation into alleged theft and abuse of patients at a Kingsport nursing home. The Kingsport Times News reports 26-year-old Andrew Griffith was indicted by the Sullivan County Grand Jury last week following a four-month investigation by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. Griffith allegedly stole medication from residents. He also faces one count of abuse, neglect or exploitation of a dependent adult, two counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud deceit or theft and two counts of theft of property under $500. Griffith was released on $50,000 bond.
