    School:    Obion Central
    Grade:    Junior
          Height:    5-10
    Weight:    145
    Pos.:  Safety

By the numbers: Miller, who was moved to free safety after playing a cornerback role the first two weeks of the current campaign, was everywhere the football was on Friday evening, totaling 24 tackles (14 solo and two for a loss) during the Rebels’ loss. For the season, Miller has an Obion County-best 37 tackles.
Sound bite: “Tanner has matured and grown up the most of any player on the team since the season started,” Jackson said. “He’s the youngest guy in his class, which means he’s the age of some of our freshmen, but a junior. Tanner’s a competitor. He comes from a bloodline of tough athletes and he’s not afriad to stick his nose into every play.”
HONORABLE MENTION:  Josh Quinton, OC junior defensive lineman, totaled 17 stops (11 of the solo variety and three for a loss) during the Rebels’ defeat against Crockett County. Steven Patton, OC senior linebacker, had 14 tackles (11 solo and a pair for a loss) for the Rebels. Joe Ferguson, OC senior linebacker, finished with 14 takedowns and one for a loss in Week 2. Chris Boucher, UC junior defensive back, was in on a Union City-best eight tackles — one for a loss — during the team’s defeat. Alex Gallien, SF senior defensive back, had a team-best eight takedowns during the Red Devils’ 13-12 loss to Greenfield.
