QuinTango is set to perform at the Cumberland County Playhouse on September 17 at 8:00pm. This concert with sizzling energy and contagious passion is sponsored by Jacqueline’s Boutiques.
QuinTango was formed in 1995 when five passionate, music-loving friends got together to read through some tango music. As they worked their way through charts of unknown tangos, a chemical reaction took place-a fire started in their bellies. The group made up of two violins, cello, bass and piano gained national attention in 1999 when they were invited to give a Command Performance at the White House along with Robert Duvall, bandoneonist Raul Jaurena, and dancer/actor Pablo Veron.
Along with QuinTango, we will have Victoria Sarquisse and Federico Jorquera, two Argentine championship Tango dancers. Victoria and Federico will be offering a Master Class on Friday afternoon from 4:30-5:30pm. We recommend the class for teens and adults due to tango flirtiness. No registration for this class is required. You will get the chance to learn a few tango steps on stage and dance with the band. Come join us for a tango-fun evening!
