Completed arrangements have been announced for Viston Wherry Moore, 76, of Hornbeak, who died Sept. 2, 2010, at his home.
Services were set for today at 11 a.m. at Cryer Funeral Home in Obion. Charles Pledge and Scott Ferguson were to officiate and burial was to follow in Minnick Cemetery near Obion.
Pallbearers were to be Jonathan Litton, David Moore, Tony Cloar, Jason Edwards, Ronald McConkey and Tim Gibson.
The family requests memorials be made to Wyoming Mission Work, 138 Amber Lane, Selmer, TN 38375.
He was born April 29, 1934, son of the late Thomas Wherry Moore and Margaret Andrews Moore. He married the former Linda Edwards on Dec. 27, 1956, and she survives.
He received an associate’s degree from Freed-Hardeman College in Henderson and a bachelor’s degree from Harding College in Searcy, Ark.
A minister and a farmer, he was a member of the Obion Church of Christ.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Sandra Moore of Twin Falls, Idaho; a daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Tommy Litton of Kenton; a brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Roxanne Moore of Troy; four grandchildren and the spouses of three of them, David and Carrie Moore of Mountain Home, Idaho, Melissa and Mike Mohsen of Forrest Grove, Ore., Jenna Litton of Milan and Jonathan and Samantha Litton of Kenton; and four great-grandchildren, George Moore, Nolan Moore and Alice Moore, all of Mountain Home, and Addyson Litton of Kenton.
