Robert Lee Smith

Robert Lee Smith, 85, of South Fulton, died Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010 at his residence.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hornbeak Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton, Ky., with Travis Lamb officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Smith was born Jan. 27, 1925, in Weakley County, son of the late Farris and Eva Smith. He was the widower of Peggie Ann Richardson Smith. He was a World War II United State Coast Guard veteran, an employee of Kentucky Utilities for 32 years and retired as Superintendent of Construction for the Western Division and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his three sons and two daughters-in-law, Tony and Debbie Smith, of Dawson Springs, Ky., Joe Deweese of Union City, Don and Faythe Deweese of Summerville, S.C.; three daughters and and one son-in-law, Peggy “Lee” Clark of Lexington, Ky., Jeanne and Mike Lamb of Paris and Pam Smith of Union City; two brothers, Carl Smith of Paducah and Farris Junior Smith of Martin; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Michael Lynn Smith; and one sister, Nancy Smith Pate.
