Jimmy “Cokie” Callicutt, 72, of Union City died Aug. 28, 2010, at Golden Living Center in Union City.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Bashan Baptist Church in Rives, with the Rev. James Jones officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery.
Friends may call at Rawls Funeral Home in Union City 6-8 p.m. Friday.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Barr, Gerald Mack, Raymond Jenkins Jr., Kwame Jenkins, Marvin Payne, DeAndre Payne and Kevin Payne. Honorary pallbearers will be Ual Jenkins, Raymond Jenkins Sr. and Perry Jenkins.
He was born Sept. 20, 1937, in Rives, son of the late Forester and Lexie (Barr) Callicutt. He had been an employee of the former McArthur Dairy in Florida and was a member of Bashan Baptist Church, where he was a deacon.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, William Douglas and Flowers Callicott of Chattanooga; his granddaughter, Ashlay Shanae Callicott of Chattanooga; two sisters and his brother-in-law, Helen Irons of Albany, Ga., and Janet and the Rev. Rozelle Dotstry of Union City; his sister-in-law, Lola Callicott of Union City; two aunts and his uncle, Bernice and Ual Jenkins of Rives and Lorreta Tate of Jackson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Phil Edward Callicott; and his sister, Nora Catherine Callicott.
