Milling has begun in Union City.
Union City Public Works director Steve Ladd said the process to replace several roads in the city started this morning on Exchange Street between Division and Adams streets. They will then proceed to Church and High streets.
He said the milling machines can throw debris and he is asking parents keep their children away from the areas in which the machines are working. He also suggests motorists park their vehicles away from the areas which are being worked on to prevent damage which might be caused by the debris.
Residents are asked not to park on the streets so the construction workers can perform their duties. Ladd said it may possibly be necessary to tow vehicles which are parked in the way.
