Marjorie Virginia (Reed-er) Gill, 93, of Martin, a former resident of Obion County, died Aug. 28, 2010, at Weakley County Nursing and Rehab Center in Dresden.
Graveside services were set for 11 a.m. today at East Side Cemetery in Martin, with John Forgy officiating. Pallbearers were to be Bob Pritchett, Harold Garner, Monte Garner, Raphel Walker and Steve Wright.
Murphy Funeral Home in Martin is in charge of arrangements.
She was born June 17, 1917, in Rives, daughter of the late Charles David and Jennie (Burnett) Reeder. She was the widow of J.D. Gill and was a homemaker and member of Martin Church of Christ. She had been a 25-year volunteer for the Red Cross blood bank and had been neighborhood chairman for Girl Scouts of America. She was a graduate of the former Rives High School.
Survivors include her son, Jimmy Gill of Martin; her daughter, Jo Kathryn (Gill) Maddox of Martin; and two grandchildren and their spouses, Marlena and Sean Belding of Salt Lake City and David and Michelle Maddox of Sharon.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Delma C. Reeder, Lloyd W. Reeder and L.F. Reeder; and her sister, Elizabeth Revis.
