Fairies pageant slated

The Mr. and Miss Fairies of the Fall Pageant will be held Sept. 18 at Ripley High School. It is being sponsored by the Lauderdale County University of Tennessee Extension Service.
Registration begins at noon, with pageants starting at 1 p.m. The pageant entry fee is $25 in advance or $30 at the door. A Flair for Fashion category will also be available for an additional $5. Deadline for early registration is Sept. 17 at 4 p.m.
Age groups and start times include girls, birth to 11 months at 1; boys, birth to 11 months at 1:30; girls, 12-23 months at 2; boys, 12-23 months at 2:30; girls, 2-3 years at 3; boys, 2-4 years at 3:30; and girls, 4-5 years at 4; 6-7 years at 4:30; 8-9 years at 5; 10-12 years at 5:30; 13-15 years at 6; and 16-19 years at 6:30. Age division start times are approximate, but no age group will begin before the time stated.
