Dwight Eugene Gantt, 64, of Samburg died Aug. 30, 2010, at his home.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Eric Burress officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch  Cemetery near Hornbeak.
Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 p.m. Wednesday.
His grandchildren and sons-in-law will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Allen Searcy, Paul Stafford, Robert Jackson, Terry Jamison, Dale Treece, Bennett Kirk, Glen VanCleave, Harold D. Riddle, Terry Taylor and employees of the former Dwight Gantt Construction Co.
The family requests memorials be made to Cardiovascular Surgery Clinic Research Dept., 6029 Walnut Grove Road, Memphis, TN 38120-2112.
He was born Sept. 24, 1945, in Lake County, son of the late Rev. R.S. and Marie (Stewart) Gantt. He married the former Maelene Tittle Aug. 15, 1964. She survives.
He had been the owner and operator of the former Dwight Gantt Construction Co. and was a member of Walnut Log Baptist Church.
He is also survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, LeAnn and Clint Wilson and Gina and Joe Clanton, all of Hornbeak; six grandchildren and their spouses, Cole and Laken Clanton of Union City and Chase and Brandy Clanton, Garrett Osborne, Ali and Brock Griffin, Chance Clanton and Jake Osborne, all of Hornbeak; his great-grandson, Conner Griffin of Hornbeak; his sister, Alma Riddle of Troy; four brothers, Charles Gantt of Munford, Mack Gantt of Brighton, Jamie Gantt of Yorkville and Timmy Gantt of Troy; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Gantt.
