The Messenger, August 30, 2010 Elsie Viola Bing, 78, of Union City died Aug. 27, 2010, at Union City Manor Nursing Home. Services were set for 3 p.m.today at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with Larry Hitesman officiating. Burial was to follow in East View Cemetery. Pallbearers were to be Danny Worley Jr., Jacob Worley, Jordan Worley, Robert Mosier, Major Mosier, Tony Harris and Ian Bing. The family requests that memorials be made to Sunswept Baptist Church. She was born Jan. 20, 1932, in Moscow, Tenn., daughter of the late Sullivan and Lillie Pearl (Canada) Holmes. She married Hubert Henry Bing May 10, 1946. He died Dec. 1, 1975. She had been a nurse at the former Obion County General Hospital in Union City prior to retirement and was a member of Sunswept Baptist Church in Union City. She is survived by four daughters, Brenda Ross and Wanda Mosier, both of Union City, Diane Durham of Martin and Regina Stafford of Greenfield; two sons, Ralph Bing of Union City and Perry Bing of McKee, Ky.; her sister, Willie Boone of Holly Springs, Miss.; her brother, Elwood Holmes of Shreveport, La.; and 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her son, Brad Bing; her daughter, Darlene Worley; and several brothers and sisters.
