Poker Run benefits WLJT

The 2010 Bikers for Books Poker Run will be held Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, in conjunction with the 17th Annual Tennessee Soybean Festival to be held Sept. 4-12 in Martin. Registration will be from 8-9 a.m. and awards will be presented at 3 p.m.
Cost is $15 per player. The run will start at Martin City Hall, formerly First State Bank, 109 University Street, Martin and will end at The Gap, next to Olivia’s Opera House, downtown Martin.
The run will be approximately 150 miles through beautiful Northwest Tennessee. Proceeds from this ride will help fund WLJT-DT, Channel 11’s educational programs and initiatives such as Countdown to Kindergarten, Rocky T’s FunZone and the Reading Rangers Literacy program.
