| WCP 8.26.10 Each year Weakley County fourth-graders have an opportunity to spend a day on several area farms to learn first-hand what life is like for the farmer. This year, fourth-graders visited Nanney and Rhea farms outside of Martin. From the state division of forestry to farm implement providers to dairy, chicken, beef and row-crop farmers, students had hands-on experiences. Martin Elementary School fourth-graders in Stacey Hawks’s class (pictured) had a chance to shuck corn in a race against the latest farm implements that now does the job for local farmers. | | | |
