REED Center offers QuickBooks classes

WCP 8.24.10 One of the most important computer programs businesses can use is QuickBooks. The REED Center is offering beginner and intermediate QuickBooks classes to local businesses Aug. 31-Sept. 1.
The beginner QuickBooks workshop is a step-by-step class that explains the process of setting up business finances in QuickBooks.
The class includes such topics as check writing, invoicing and report generation based on information provided from the business.
The workshop will also cover how to best utilize QuickBooks as a business tool without a deep understanding of accounting.
The student will create their own organization and, if desired, can take home the information created as a basis for using QuickBooks in their businesses.
There will be two classes on Tuesday, Aug 31. The first session is scheduled for 8 a.m.-12 p.m., and the second session will be 1-5 p.m. Both classes will be held at the REED Center, located at 406 S. Lindell St., Martin.
The workshop has no fee, but seating and computer are limited. Pre-registration is required.
On Sept. 1, an intermediate QuickBooks workshop will be offered to those who want a deeper understanding of QuickBooks.
The intermediate QuickBooks workshop is a continuation of our popular basic level QuickBooks Workshop, the session will assist with more advanced topics such as payroll, inventory, setting personal preferences, sales taxes and many other areas that will QuickBooks more efficient and enjoyable. A working knowledge of QuickBooks is needed to grasp the topics presented in this class.
The workshop will be held Wednesday, Sept. 1 from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. at the REED Center. The intermediate workshop has limited seating and computers. Pre-registration is required.
