Virginia (Priest) Patrick, 85, of Cullman, Ala., died Aug. 18, 2010, at her home. She was a former resident of Troy and of Memphis.
Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Forest Hill East in Memphis, with the Rev. Kim Kulow officiating. The body will lie in state from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of services Monday at the funeral home.
The family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis.
She was born Dec. 13, 1924, in Troy, daughter of the late Oma and Fannie Priest. She was the widow of Roy C. Patrick and was a 1942 graduate of the former Troy High School.
Mrs. Patrick moved to Memphis after graduation and was employed at Fischer Aircraft plant, helping construct the tail section of bombers for the World War II effort. She later retired from Sears Roebuck & Co. She was a member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church in Memphis.
Survivors include her son, Raymond Pierce, and her grandson, Travis Pierce, both of Cullman.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Oma Priest Jr., Bill Priest and Charles Priest.
