TENNderCARE of Weakley County along with AmeriChoice by UnitedHealthcare will host a “Healthy Mom-Healthy Baby” shower at the C.E. Weldon Public Library in downtown Martin on Friday, Aug. 27.
Organizations that promote the well-being of children and families such as WIC, UT Martin’s Healthy Start, Tennessee Early Intervention Systems and Northwest Tennessee Child Care Resource and Referral will all be on hand during the event.
Each organization provides a number of services for pregnant women, new moms and children.
The purpose of this event is to spread awareness of help available in this area for families.
Snacks, games and a wealth of information is slated for the “Healthy Mom-Healthy Baby” shower.
Pregnant women and mothers of children ages 2 and under are invited to attend. Seating is limited.
Reservations are needed by Friday, Aug. 20.
The event is slated for 3 to 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 27 at the Weldon Library.
