Hello to everyone from Pleasant Hill! We enjoyed being in our newly-renovated sanctuary Sunday morning. It is so beauatiful. Homecoming was great. We had many visitors to come enjoy the service and dinner with us. The food was fabulous, as it always is! A special thanks to Wesley Kellough and his crew for their hard work to get the sanctuary ready for Homecoming Day. Also, a special thanks to the men and women who worked hard moving last minute things back to their proper place on Friday and Saturday.
Bro. Elwood, Carolyn, Bro. Steve, Bro. Mac and Landon Prather gave us a beautiful music service. Bro. Elwood Carolyn and Deborah Doss sang, “To God Be the Glory.” Bro. Mac’s message from Acts 2:22-41.
Our revival started Sunday evening with Bro. James Kinsey from Sunswept Baptist Church in Union City preaching. He is a wonderful preacher. You can feel the Holy Spirit in each service.
The music is led by Luke and Kathleen Parker of Calvary Baptist Church in Union City. They have three sons, Zach, Mason and Caleb, who are attending services with their parents. We are glad to have all our visitors.
On Sunday evening, Bro. Kinsey brought the message from Luke 10:25. The title was “The Seven Ups of a Christian.”
We are glad to see Seymour and Dolores Mansfield back. We are glad Seymour is up and moving around again!
Birthdays for this week are: Sharon Waterfield on Aug. 5 and Estell Magness on Aug. 6. Also I’d like to wish a special birthday to my life-long best friend and cousin, Sue Bell Roberts on Aug. 3. Happy birthday to everyone.
Until next week, may God bless!
