Additional volunteers are needed to help with the ongoing “Let’s Paint the Town” renovation effort Saturday in downtown Fulton.
As of today, there are just 10 volunteers committed for Saturday, but the goal is to paint the front and back of Cissy’s on Lake Street and the front and back of Evans Home Medical next door. Organizers said 10 will “get us by,” but 15 volunteer painters are really needed this week.
Work will begin at 6:30 a.m. Volunteers may park across Lake Street on the old railroad right-of-way next to Pontotoc Park in downtown Fulton. Restrooms and a break area will be available at Evans Home Medical and food will be provided by the “Let’s Paint the Town” refreshment committee.
Organizers said these buildings will mark the restoration of the 15th and 16th buildings in Fulton and South Fulton as part of the effort.
