Completed arrangements are being announced for Barbara Lou (Werner) Smith, 74, of the Cayce (Ky.) community, who died Aug. 9, 2010, at her home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Cayce United Methodist Church, with the Revs. David Kelly and Dennis Bowling officiating.
Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens near Union City.
Friends may call at White-Ranson Funeral Home 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Chris Brockwell, Paul Kelly, Les Kelly, Jordan O’Neal, Jeremiah Johnson, Shane Brockwell, Derrick Smith and Toby Jackson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Henderson, Jimmy Johnson, Joe F. Campbell, Larry Gardner, Jerry Graham and Glenn Nolan Howell.
The family requests that memorials be made to Cayce United Methodist Church.
She was born Dec. 21, 1935, in Ohio, daughter of the late Evelyn Mae (Harris) and Harry John Werner Sr. She was the widow of Vernon Dale Smith, who died Jan. 6, 2000. She was a homemaker and a member of Cayce United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Vickie Scott of Arlington, Ky.; six grandchildren, Derrick Smith of Cayce, Toby Jackson, Victoria Smith and Kayla Smith, all of Arlington, Ky., Dustin Smith, who is stationed in Iraq with the U.S. Army, and Rachel Scott of Union City; seven great-grandchildren; four brothers, Harry Werner Jr., Terry Werner and Karl Werner, all of Vermillion, Ohio, and Ernie Werner of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Bobby Wayne Smith; and her sister, Frieda Denger.
