Class offered on how to make a book

The Ice House in Mayfield, Ky., is hosting a class on how to make a book Saturday.
The class will be held 10 a.m.–2 p.m. and the instructor is Cecelia Edwards.
Participants will learn the art of bookbinding in order to create a journal, sketchbook, scrapbook or art book.
Students may bring a variety of items to decorate the covers of their books. Examples include old credit cards, combs, netting, old postage stamps, ribbon, stickers and charms. Stamps and stamp pads may also be used.
The fee is $30 for members and $35 for non-members. The fee includes a kit.
The Mayfield/Graves County Art Guild is non-profit community arts center located in the historic Ice House, 120 North 8th St. in Mayfield. The center is accessible to individuals with disabilities and is open Tuesdays-Fridays 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Saturdays 10a..m.-1 p.m. Admission is free.
