Facebook, Twitter pages launched by ‘new’ Goody’s

The “new” Goody’s department store has launched Facebook and Twitter pages.
“Social media gives us a great opportunity to interact with our customers, bringing them the latest news and great savings on the brands they love,” said Jennifer Grammar, director of brand marketing for Stage Stores Inc., the parent company of Goody’s.
Goody’s will post coupons weekly on Facebook and Twitter, giving shoppers great savings opportunities. Fans can log on and find new deals at their fingertips. Other Facebook page features include a store locator tab, the ability to buy gift cards online and register for e-mail alerts and a “Style” tab, which highlights the latest trends.
Through Aug. 23, fans may enter a sweepstakes to win gift cards by becoming a fan on Facebook and submitting an entry form.
“We really want to meet our customer’s needs and invite them to join us on our page to share their shopping experiences,” Ms. Grammar said.
Stage Stores plans to expand Goody’s Facebook and Twitter pages as the fan-base grows and will be adding more sweepstakes, news about fashion trends and information about store openings and upcoming events.
Ms. Grammar said the “new” Goody’s has a fresh look and name-brand apparel that Stage Stores customers know and love. Stage Stores purchased the Goody’s name last year and, to date, has opened 38 new stores under that nameplate, including a location in Union City’s County Marketplace.
Stage Stores, which operates 38 Goody’s stores, is also launching Facebook and Twitter pages for its other store brands, including Bealls, Palais Royal, Peebles and Stage.
