Wynridge winners
have slim advantage

The team of Mason Storey, Nick Gilliam, Ray Swift, Tanner Perkins and Clay Searcy combined to shoot a 8-under-par and win the weekly men’s scramble at Wynridge Greens in Troy Thursday.
Meanwhile, the combination of Bim Barker, Bryan Barker, David Puckett, J.D. Stephens and Ike Peel got second place with a cumulative total of 7-under.
Wynridge Greens holds its weekly men’s scramble every Thursday.

South Fulton boosters
to convene on Tuesday

The South Fulton High School and Middle School booster club will meet Tuesday in the library at 6.
Plans for the upcoming Obion County Fair concession booth as well as the 2010 athletic programs are to be discussed.
All parents, coaches, administrators, booster club members and supporters of the SF athletic programs are encouraged to attend.

Railroaders’ season
comes to an end

The Fulton Railroaders’ season came to an end on Thursday evening.
Fulton totaled just four hits as the Owensboro Oilers claimed a 3-2 victory in 10 innings of Game 2 of a KIT League semifinal series.
With the win, O’boro sweeps the best-of-three series against the Railroaders, who finished second in the league’s regular-season standings.
Tonight, the Oilers host league regular-season champion Tradewater Pirates, who disposed of the Marion Bobcats in two games in the other semifinal set, in Game 1 of the KIT circuit’s championship series. Tonight’s game is scheduled to start at 7:05.
On Thursday, Fulton’s two runs came off three Owensboro errors in the seventh inning.
Jacob Donze, who pitched the entire 10 innings for the Railroaders, absorbed the defeat.
                             
Hickman lady victors
ahead by pair of shots

The Hickman Country Club’s Ladies League took to the links on Thursday.  
The team of Wanda Brown, Dino Nerren, Janis Garrigan and Cathy Hall finished in first at 4-under-par.
Meanwhile, the combination of Kathy Barker, Betty Moore, Carol Potts, Anne Kincade and Jackie Russell claimed second place with a 2-under.
Brown won the closest-to-the-pin competition on the eighth hole.
The ladies play every Thursday evening at 5:30. Those interested in playing are encouraged to call (270) 236-9128.

OC Little Dribblers
to have Sun. meeting

The Obion County Little Dribblers team is to have its initial organizational meeting on Sunday.
The meeting is to begin at 2 p.m. at Obion Central.
Children ages 5 through fifth-grade can participate with the OC Little Dribblers and the team is open to all interested parties.
All parents of youths wishing to participate on the team, which performs during halftime at junior high and high school games regularly, are encouraged to attend.
