The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has added a West Tennessee man to its list of Top Ten Most Wanted fugitives in an effort to locate and arrest him for a shooting incident last year in Dyer County.
Robert Brandon, 39, whose last known address was 981 Newbern-Roellen Road in Newbern, is wanted by the Dyer County Sheriff’s Department on one count of aggravated assault and one count of especially aggravated burglary.
On March 28, 2009, Brandon, along with an accomplice who has since been arrested, was allegedly involved in a home burglary on Jones Street in Newbern. Shots were fired inside the home and one of the residents was injured, according to the TBI.
Brandon has a criminal history that dates back to 1990 and includes aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault, aggravated robbery, forgery, theft, disorderly conduct, public intoxication and violating his parole. Law enforcement has also learned he has a violent juvenile criminal history.
Brandon is described as a 5-foot-11 black male who weights about 155 pounds. He is bald and has brown eyes. His identifiable markings include a large knot on his forehead over his right eye and a scar near the left side of his nose.
The TBI said Brandon is considered armed and dangerous and should be approached with caution.
Anyone who has information on his whereabouts is urged to call the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND (1-800-824-3463). There is a $1,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.
