Charles Martin Boone, 86, of the Elbridge community near Obion died July 22, 2010, at Union City Manor Nursing Home.
Graveside services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Zion Cemetery near Obion, with the Rev. Richard Carruth officiating.
Pallbearers will be Gerald Simrell, Mark Simrell, Greg Erwin, Glen Mays, Jerry Webb and Bill Sellers. Honorary pallbearers will be Ralph Revell and Chester Revell.
Visitation will be a private time for the family. Cryer Funeral Home in Obion is in charge of arrangements.
The family requests that memorials be made to Cloverdale Community Center, in care of Judy Rainey, 4155 Frog Level Road, Obion, TN 38240.
He was born in the Glass community near Obion Nov. 17, 1923, son of the late Carl and Frances (Wilson) Boone. He was a retired salesman for Obion Farmers Co-op in Obion and was a farmer. He had been a member of the former Cloverdale Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Margaret (Boone) Wright of Memphis and Karla (Boone) Mays of Blytheville, Ark.; and two nieces and a nephew.
