BMH-UC names new administrator

Baptist Memorial Hos-pital-Union City has named Brad Parsons as administrator and chief executive officer effective Aug. 2.
Parsons replaces Derick Ziegler, who will become administrator and chief executive officer for Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis effective Aug. 15. 
Parsons has served as an assistant administrator at Baptist Golden Triangle in Columbus, Miss., over the clinical services division since 2008. Prior to joining Baptist, he spent more than five years as an assistant vice president at Decatur General Hospital in Decatur, Ala. He earned his bachelor of science degree in business administration from Birmingham-Southern College. He earned a master’s degree in hospital administration and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
 “Brad is a great choice and will do exceptionally well,” Ziegler said. “I know this community will give him and his family the same warm welcome that was given to my family and me.”
