Breezy Smith, a University of Tennessee at Martin student, was named Miss Rodeo Tennessee 2010 during a statewide competition in Franklin June 28.
Smith attends classes, participates on the UT Martin Rodeo team, and works two jobs to help finance her education and rodeo. Smith is studying to become an intervention teacher.
Smith will represent Tennessee in Las Vegas when she competes for the Miss Rodeo American title this December.
One of her responsibilities will be to promtoe rodeo and be a positive representative for Tennessee. Smith must prepare, train and compete to deliver her best performance while in Las Vegas.
Smith is asking the community to support her while she competes in Nevada.
Funds are required for fees and travel expenses, and while Smith’s family and friends will help, she’s asking local  residents and businesses to help her achieve the dream of becoming the first contestant from Tennessee to earn the title of Miss Rodeo America.
The community has many ways they can donate. Residents can become sponsors or give donations. Also, hosting fundraisers, donating items for a silent auction and bidding for those items are great ways to help Smith become Miss Rodeo America.
