3rd annual Summer Arts Camp offered
The Press 7.9.10 The third annual Summer Arts Camp for children organized by members of the Weakley County Arts and Humanities Council will be held on July 12-16 at Dresden Elementary School, located at 759 Linden St. on Hwy 22 in Dresden. Students will be able to choose two classes from those offered: Creative Writing, Dance/Movement, Dollmaking, Drawing, Mixed-Media, Music, Painting, Sculpture and Theater.
Classes will be held in the mornings from 9 a.m. to noon. On Friday, July 16, there will be an open house where students and guests may view artwork and enjoy performances.
Fees are $50 per child, which covers both classes, including supplies. Participants will each be assigned to two classes for five days.  Class preferences will be considered on a first come, first served basis. Students do not have to be residents of Weakley County. Fees are not refundable.
Without the help of the Tennessee Arts Commission, the Weakley County Board of Commissioners, and private donors providing financial support, Summer Arts Camp would not be possible.
