The bride-elect is the daughter of Dwight Phillips and the late Marsha Phillips of Rives. Julie is the granddaughter of Melba Butler and the late Gene Butler of Humboldt, Joyce Phillips and the late Jimmie Phillips of South Fulton, the late Clerence and Mary Ruth Johnson of Union City and the late Howard Aronld Jr. of California. She is a 2006 graduate of Obion County Central High School in Troy and a 2009 graduate of The University of Tennessee at Martin. She is employed at First State Bank in Martin. The groom-elect is the son of Hal and Melanie Bynum and Lisa Alexander, all of Dresden. He is the grandson of Wendell and Shirley Alexander and Jane Alexander, all of Dresden, and the late J.W. and Mary Tyson Bynum of Palmersville. He is a 2006 graduate of Gleason High School and a 2009 graduate of The University of Tennessee at Martin. He is an affiliate broker at Wendell Alexander Realty in Dresden. The couple will exchange vows on Aug. 7, 2010 in an outside ceremony at the father of the brides’ home near Rives. Courtesy transportation will be provided to the wedding ceremony starting at 6:30 p.m. from Central Union United Methodist Church. The last shuttle will leave at 7:15 p.m., there will be no parking at the wedding ceremony. Music will begin at 7:30 p.m. The reception will follow at the Celebration Centre’ in Union City. wcp 7/8/10
