Edith Patton Senn, a long-time resident of Troy, celebrated her 90th birthday recently with a meal at Boyette’s Dining Room at Reelfoot Lake. A dozen family members were present to mark the occasion with her.
The cake table, draped in a white cloth embroidered with purple grapes by the honoree’s mother, was highlighted with a Senn family heirloom, an epergne with pink candles, and a beautiful pink rose displayed in a bowl.
Following the traditional birthday cake presentation, the hosts drew for door prizes and completed an evening of fun.
Those honoring Mrs. Senn on the special occasion included her daughters and son-in-law, Janie and Richard Eldred of Grand Island, Fla., and Emily Senn of Union City; her sons and daughter-in-law, Randall Senn and Phillip and Shirley Senn, all of Troy; her granddaughter, Mayce Thompson of Dresden; her great-granddaughters and the husband of one of them, Marie and Wayne Ascensio of Martin and April Boone of Dresden; and her nephew and his wife, Dr. Charles and Annette Harris of Cordova.
