4-H WORKSHOP — Each month the Obion County Public Library and the University of Tennessee Obion County 4-H program team up and hold workshops for children grades K-4. These workshops provide students with vital life skills such as leadership, positive communication, building relationships, achieving goals, responsibility, independence and citizenship. During a recent workshop, youth created a Crayon Batik painting and a Flower Recipe Card Holder. Volunteers helping during the workshop included 4-H All-Star members Chelsie Darnell and Nancy Davis. Participants included (front, from left) Miss Darnell, Abigail Brewer, Anthony Brewer, Kaitlyn Waites, Jonathan Ranson, Jorge Espinoza, Miss Davis, (middle) Emmalee Foster, Olivia Ryan, Gracyn Callicott, Kaylee Cook, Alivia Morris, (back) Garrett Foster, Elex Carter, Madeline Hogan and Leah Crews. The next workshop will be held in September, as students celebrate being back in school.
