A Union City club was shut down by Union City police on the July Fourth holiday.
According to a report at the police department, officers were conducting a walk through of the Railroad Street Club, located at 200 Railroad St., when they observed glasses of beer and some type of punch that smelled of liquor out on the tables.
Officers also reported they detected a strong odor of marijuana in the building and found a marijuana “roach” in one of the ashtrays. A small baggy of marijuana was found in the parking lot.
“The club was shut down and all occupants were advised to leave,” the report stated.
Found in the kitchen area of the club were two packages of Dixie™ cups, the same as were used for the punch and the beer in the club, and a cooler containing the punch, as well as a couple of 12-packs of beer in the refrigerator.
No arrests were noted on the report.
