Hudson cut by Griz;
Wizards offer spot

Former UT Martin standout Lester Hudson has been waived by the Memphis Grizzlies.
Hudson, the most decorated basketball player in UTM history and a two-time Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year, played in nine games with Memphis last season after being waived by the Boston Celtics. He was later sent to the NBA Development League.
In all, the 6-3 guard played in 25 games combined with the Grizzlies and Celtics, averaging 2.3 ppg. Hudson averaged four ppg during his Memphis stint after joining the club in early January.
Reportedly, Hudson has been invited to play with the Washington Wizards’ summer league team, according to his agent Lance Young.
Memphis selected a pair of guards (Xavier Henry and Greivis Vasquez) in the recent NBA draft, leaving the writing on the wall that there would be little playing time for Hudson next season.
