We Care Thrift Store is opened to the public: Wednesday 1-3:30 p.m., Saturday 9:30 a.m.-noon; and the second Monday of every month from 5-7 p.m.
Back to School assistance program – August 2, 4, 5, 9 and 11. Supplies needed are: calculators, colored pencils, compass, composition books, crayons, dictionaries, dry eraser markers, folders, glue, graph paper, highlighters, index cards, magic markers, paper, #2 pencils, pencil boxes/pouches, pens, protractors, rulers, scissors, spiral notebooks, tab dividers, 3 ring notebooks and construction paper.
Date and Time: Monday, Aug. 2 – 9:30 a.m. – noon and 1-3 p.m.
Wednesday, Aug. 4 – 9:30 a.m. – noon
Thursday, Aug. 5 – 9:30 a.m. – noon and 1-3 p.m.
Monday, Aug. 9 – 9:30 a.m. – noon and 1-3 p.m.
Wednesday, Aug. 11 – 9:30 a.m. – noon
When applying: bring Social Security card for everyone in the household who is 18 years old or older, proof of address (electric, water, cable or phone bill), and child or children enrolled in school.
Food Bank – Needs: Due to increase in food bank assistance, we desperately need: Canned fruit, snack items, Jell-O, canned vegetables (potatoes, beans), Sloppy Joe, potted meat, Vienna sausage, cereal, cake frosting, crackers, 16 oz. disposable beverage cups, shaving cream, razors, hair brushes and soap. Baby Items: Baby wipes, baby powder, baby wash shampoo and lotion.
Christian Devotional Literature: “Our Daily Bread, “Upper Room,” etc.
Emergency Need: Fans and working air conditioners.
Thrift Store: Good mattress and box spring sets, bath and kitchen towels, good pots and pans, pictures, knick knacks and sets of dishes and books.
Furniture Store: Refrigerators, stoves, washing machines and dryers, beds, good usable couches and chairs, good furniture, stereo sets, computers and microwaves. Please NO built-in appliances.
Clothing Store: Maternity clothes, women plus size clothes; men’s shoes, men’s clothes 1X-4X, men’s jeans, men’s tennis shoes, children’s clothes, both girls and boys 6X-14 and spring and summer clothing.
Office: Copier paper, wide masking tape, 2-inch 3 ring binders, package tape dispenser.
Miscellaneous: Large dry erase board. Mannequins, concrete blocks, doors, orange safety cones, Windex, Orange cleaner, Goo-Gone, Scotch scratch pads, Ammonia and single edge razor blades.
