Pickwick Landing State Park
Spend the day playing at Pickwick Landing State Park on Sunday, July 4, followed by a spectacular Fourth of July Fireworks Display. Visitors can also enjoy a July 4th buffet in the restaurant or join the Friends of Pickwick Landing for pre-fireworks pizza on the water. Show begins when it gets dark. Pickwick Landing State Park is located just south of Pickwick Dam and 12 miles south of Savannah.
Fort Pillow State Historic Park
Join Fort Pillow State Historic Park on Sunday, July 4, for its annual Independence Day Celebration. Weekend activities will include family fun and outdoor programming for all ages – from outdoor games, nature hikes, historical hikes, arts and crafts, museum tours and much more! Participants should plan to visit the park office upon arrival for trail maps and directions. For more information, please call (731) 738-5581.
The 1,642-acre Fort Pillow State Historic Park, located in Lauderdale County on the Chickasaw Bluffs overlooking the Mississippi River.
Reelfoot Lake State Park
Through September 30, Reelfoot Lake State Park will offer its Scenic Boat Cruises. Participants will enjoy the fascinating world of Reelfoot Lake from the comfort of a pontoon boat, while naturalists discuss the history and wonders of this natural phenomenon.
Interpretive cruises depart at 9 a.m. daily (weather permitting). Special afternoon cruises are provided for groups of 10 or more, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 1:30 p.m. and sunset. For reservations or more information, please call (731) 253-9652.
