Martha Helen Sellers

Mrs. Martha Helen Trevathan Sellers, 91, of Martin, died Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at Volunteer General Hospital, Martin.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Murphy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Brown and Rev. Terry Griffin officiating. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home tonight from 5-8 p.m.
Joe Trevathan, David Sellers, Billy Miles, Gerald Gardner, Donny McWherter and Dave Covington will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Sellers was born Oct. 21, 1918, in Weakley County, daughter of the late Joe Henry and Maude Farmer Barger. She was the widow of Mose Trevathan and Clark Sellers. She was a graduate of Martin High School, formerly worked for Continental Telephone Company and General Telephone Company, was a member of Martin First Baptist Church and a member of the Martingales Singers.
Survivors include one son, Joe Donald Trevathan of Martin; two stepsons, Dr. Bob Sellers of Memphis and David Sellers of Dyersburg; and two stepdaughters, Mrs. Brenda Atchinson of Franklin and Mrs. Pam Rainey of Arkansas.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Garvin Barger.
