Pam Killion of Flippen’s Fruit Farm in downtown Union City told The Messenger this morning she has learned a couple of boys are purchasing quality peaches from her business and are later attempting to sell these peaches, door-to-door, when they are past their prime.
She said the young salesmen apparently identify the product as Flippen’s peaches, but she added that her family-owned business has no connection to these sales efforts and is distressed to know that a product that is no longer of high quality is being associated with the name of her business. She added that Flippen’s never sells their product door-to-door.
