The Messenger, July 1, 2010
The Hunter Hynds Unit of United Methodist Women met in June at Stanley’s Chapel United Methodist Church with six members present.
President Chris Cheatham welcomed everyone and asked for prayer concerns before offering the opening prayer.
The Purpose was recited in unison.
The thought for the evening focused on the 11 premises stated in “Everything I need to know about life, I learned from Noah’s Ark.” The president’s Response moment provided an answer to the question, “What makes a person truly beautiful?”
Leanne Parnell requested candleburning money by the July meeting.
Tentative plans were discussed for a family picnic in September. Mrs. Cheatham and Jenny Darnell will represent the unit at the Christian Mission Education Event at Lambuth University in Jackson July 15-17.
Kathy Forrester suggested the group consider a study of Esther from the Bible and the group plans additional discussion.
Mrs. Forrester closed the meeting with prayer.
The next session will be July 21 at Stanley’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
