The following cases were disposed of June 22 in Obion County General Sessions Court by Judge Jimmy Smith, or fines paid before scheduled court appearances, and were recorded in the dockets in the office of Obion County Circuit Court Clerk Harry Johnson.
The cases listed exclude routine traffic violations, civil cases and cases that are dismissed. All others are published, including judicial diversions, without exception.
• Michael A. Beamish (404 Central Ave., South Fulton) — criminal trespassing, $50 fine, costs, six months supervised probation.
• Steve Johnson (909 Marth Luther King Jr. Drive, Union City) — theft, $50 fine, costs, 30 days jail (concurrent with other sentence), 11 months and 29 days probation; assault/attempt, $50 fine, costs, 30 days jail (concurrent with other sentence), 11 months and 29 days probation.
• Jeffrey Morton (125 North Sixth St., Obion) — probation violation, 60 days jail; misdemeanor failure to appear, 11 months and 29 days supervised probation.
Editor’s note: Court was not in session three days last week due to the clerk’s office staff attending annual training. The offices closed included those of General Sessions and Circuit Court, as well as the Chancery Court clerk and master’s office.
