| The long process to allow the City of Martin more space to conduct business will come to fruition this week. City workers have been busy last week and will continue throughout this week moving the entire City of Martin’s operations to the former two-story First State Bank location off of University Street in downtown Martin.
The upgraded municipal building will house a courtroom, drive-thru windows and night deposit boxes.
The new location will officially open for business this Thursday. Community members are invited to a grand opening from 1 to 6 p.m. on Friday, July 2 at the new building. A ribbon cutting is planned for 3 p.m. that day. The event will be catered and refreshments will be provided. Stop in and take a tour on Friday.
