Paul Compton Hilliard, 85, of Memphis, formerly of Obion, died June 29, 2010, in Tulsa, Okla.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Mount Moriah Cemetery near Obion, with the Rev. Terry English officiating. Friends may call at Bartlett United Methodist Church 5-7 p.m. Thursday.
Cryer Funeral Home in Obion is in charge of arrangements.
He was born June 26, 1925, in East St. Louis Ill., son of the late Charles Dudley and Corrine (Nunn) Hilliard. He was a member of Bartlett United Methodist Church and had been a salesman for NAPA Parts in Memphis. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jodi and Philip Ford of Memphis and Jenny and Mike Lawless of Tulsa; three grandchildren, Shelby Janik, Sheridan Ford and Presley Sue Ford, all of Memphis; and his step-granddaughter, Anna Ford of Memphis.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sue (Jackson) Hilliard, who died April 17, 2004.
