May Viona Bond, 89, of Union City died 7:45 a.m. June 27, 2010, at Union City Manor Nursing Home.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home, with Dr. Melvin Poe officiating. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home 5-8 p.m. today.
Pallbearers will be Brian Bond, Josh Rodgers, Fritz Fussell, Tim Stephen, Craig Roberts, Terry Tynes, James Vinson and Steve Calhoun.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Victory Sunday School Class at Calvary Baptist Church in Union City.
The family requests that memorials be made to Journey of Faith building fund at Calvary Baptist Church, 2250 East Reelfoot Ave., Union City, TN 38261.
She was born Dec. 6, 1920, in Perry County, daughter of the late William Lenord and Clara Elizabeth (Cook) Roberts. She married Guy Ransom Bond Nov. 5, 1942. He died March 5, 2000. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Victory Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her daughter, Sherri Rodgers of Union City; her son and daughter-in-law, Arthur and Connie Bond of Union City; her sister, Blanche Tynes of Huntingdon; five grandchildren, Brian Bond of Jackson, Jenny Guye Ambrosio of Holiday, Fla., Dana Fussell of Troy, Keta Jo Steven of Clarksville and Josh Rodgers of New Port Richey, Fla.; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Alethea Davis and Mavis Morgan; and four brothers, Ralph Roberts, Ray Roberts, Ed Roberts and Jimmy Roberts.
