Doris Holly Posted: Tuesday, June 29, 2010 11:57 am The Messenger, June 28, 2010 Doris (Wright) Holly, 94, of Fulton died 11:40 a.m. June 26, 2010, at Parkway Regional Hospital in Fulton. Services were set for 11 a.m. today at Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton, with burial to follow in Cayce (Ky.) United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be made to Cayce Cemetery Funad, in care of Larry Gardner, 103 State Route 94 West, Fulton, KY 42041; or Ebenezer Cemetery Fund, in care of Fred Asbell, 1046 State Route 239 South, Fulton, KY 42041. She was born Nov. 12, 1915, in Obion County, daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Cammie Helen (Darnell) Wright. She had recently celebrated her 77th wedding anniversary with her husband, Samuel E. Holly. A member of Cayce United Methodist Church, she was a homemaker and a 50-year-plus member of Fulton County (Ky.) Homemakers Club. She had lived in Obion County and in Fulton County and had attended Dale Carnegie courses. Survivors also include her son, Wendell Holly of Fulton; two daughters, Roberta Terrett of Memphis and Dianna Nerren of Hickman, Ky.; five grandchildren, Joy White of Southaven, Miss., Elizabeth Raines and Holly Alsbrook, both of Memphis, Renee Grogan of Fulton and Bob Nerren of Hickman; eight great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Billy Wright of South Fulton; and three sisters, Lucille Simpson and June Klein, both of Fulton, and Betty W. Perkins of Heath, Texas. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, John Alexander Wright, Connie Lee Wright, Jimmy Wayne Wright and Grover Cleveland Wright; and three sisters, Gladys Evans, Mary Nell Howell and Ida Carolyn Work.
