Miss Comer, Clanton to wed on July 10

The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Laken Brooke Comer and Cole Dwight Clanton are being announced today.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Wade and Amy Comer of McKenzie. She is the granddaughter of Jimmy and Gail Blankenship of Bible Hill and the late David Comer and Terry and Debbie Comer Smith, all of Parsons.
She is a 2007 graduate of McKenzie High School and is attending the University of Tennessee at Martin nursing program, where she plans to graduate in May 2011.
The groom-elect is the son of Joseph “Joe” and Gina Clanton of Hornbeak. He is the grandson of Dwight and Maelene Gantt of Hornbeak, the late Franklin Clanton of Trimble and Faye Davis of Dyersburg. 
He is a 2005 graduate of Obion County Central High School and a 2010 graduate of Bethel University in McKenzie, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in history with a minor in education.
He is employed by the Union City School System as a high school history teacher and assistant football coach.
The couple will wed at 7 p.m. July 10 at Lakeside by the Water, located at 390 Dr. Smith Lane in McKenzie.
A reception will immediately follow the ceremony at Long Heights Baptist Church in McKenzie.
In case of inclement weather, the wedding will be held at the church.
All friends and family are invited.
