Completed arrangements are being announced for Joseph John “Joe” Calabrese, 90, of Sharon. He died 1:15 p.m. June 21, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date at Meridian Cemetery near Greenfield. Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He was born Nov. 16, 1919, in Pennsylvania, son of the late Leonard and Josephine (Oddo) Calabrese. He married the former Mary Vermillion Dec. 2, 1989. She survives. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran who served in World War II and was a Catholic.
Survivors also include three daughters, JoAnn Strazzante of Chicago and Teresa Hagel and Keylee Calabrese, both of Sharon; his son, Phillip Arnold of Chicago; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Leonard Calabrese, and four brothers.
