Completed arrangements are being announced for Cleau Etha Wade, 84, of Hickman, Ky., who died June 20, 2010, at Obion County Nursing Home.
Services will be noon Thursday at Johnson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Hickman, with the Rev. Steven Turner officiating. Burial will follow there in Hickman City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Steve Byrd, Rufus Jones, Greg Spears, Robert King Jr., Russell King Jr., Cedric Jones, James King, Jamell King and Johnny Beard. Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandsons.
Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of services.
Rawls Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born Aug. 24, 1925, in Hickman, daughter of the late Emma Merriweather and Willie Wade. She was a member of Bryant Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Jean Green of Hickman; two sons and her daughter-in-law, the Rev. Bobby Joe and Gloria Bumpus of Mayfield, Ky., and Robert King of Rockford, Ill.; 23 grandchildren; and 50 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Russell “Baby” King; her daughter, Patsey Jones Smith; three grandsons, Victor King Sr., Joey Bumpous and Craig Spears; her granddaughter, Delisha Dale King; two great-granddaughters, Cierra Rose Bumpous and Jalissa Kinney; four sisters; and six brothers.
