A Dresden woman appeared in court on Monday after she was arrested last week for an alleged string of break-ins across the county.
According to a press release issued by the WCSD, 54-year-old Karen Ann Carmichael was taken into custody last week after she was observed allegedly entering a home in Gleason while the homeowners were away.
A neighbor apparently noted her license plate number and the tag was linked to an incident on Matheny Road outside of Dresden on May 26.
A woman wearing nurses scrubs was found in the Matheny Road house by the homeowner’s son that day.
Carmichael is now charged in four seperate incidents throughout the county involving burglaries dating as far back as May 2.
She faces four charges of aggravated burglary and one charge of possession of Schedule II.
Carmichael reportedly told the arresting officer that she had a drug problem, but had not taken anything from the homes.
