Credit reports topic of local business seminar

The Press 6.22.10 What’s in a credit report? A free workshop offered by Twin Cities Chamber of Commerce, the University of Tennessee at Martin Regional Entrepreneurship and Economic Development Center and Tennessee Small Business Development Center will help you find out.
Planned for 5:30-7 p.m., July 6, the workshop will instruct participants about information in a credit report, how to read it, how to maintain a good credit report and how to repair a credit report for small business success.
The session will be in the South Fulton City Hall Harvey Vick Room, 700 Milton Counce Dr.
Instructor will be Denise Newton, UT Martin TSBDC small business specialist. Newton’s experience includes extensive financial statement analysis, portfolio analysis, strategic planning and business development.
She spent 10 years as a corporate/commercial lender for various commercial banks specializing in small business lending, structuring and financing.
